TAKE ACTION

Creating Pain Through Food

Chartwells Higher Education is serving cruelty in college dining halls nationwide.

Their parent company, Compass Group USA, promised to stop sourcing “Frankenchickens.” These birds are bred for such unnaturally rapid growth that they suffer chronic pain, crippling deformities, and organ failure. Yet Compass Group has shown no concrete action, such as announcing an official producer partnership for sourcing higher-welfare breeds. Their words ring hollow.

As a Compass Group subsidiary, Chartwells is accountable. Students at institutions like Pace University, San José State University, and Northwestern University deserve a food supplier that upholds integrity and responsible sourcing.

Call on Chartwells to take meaningful steps to ban Frankenchickens once and for all.

Tell Chartwells Higher Ed:

No More Delays. No More Excuses.

College students are unknowingly served meat from birds who often collapse and struggle to reach food and water.
Chartwells puts profits over animal welfare, sourcing fast-growing chickens who suffer for maximum meat.
Despite Compass Group’s pledge, Chartwells continues to source Frankenchickens—raising serious questions about their integrity.
